Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

What is Archive Room?

Archive Room is an online store for used and pre-owned goods, operated by SIA Archive Room. The store also functions as a consignment shop, where items may be sold on behalf of their owners or as part of SIA Archive Room's own sales.

What kind of items does Archive Room sell?

Archive Room offers used, vintage, pre-owned and/or consigned items. Each item is sold in its individual condition, and its listing states information about the item's condition, visible signs of wear, known defects and other material characteristics, to the extent this information is known to the seller.

Are the items new?

Unless explicitly stated otherwise on a specific listing, Archive Room sells used items. Used items may show signs of wear, ageing, visual defects, missing original packaging, or other characteristics typical of previously owned goods.

How is an item's condition described?

We aim to describe each item's condition as accurately as possible, including visible defects, wear, signs of use, measurements and other material characteristics. Condition is assessed based on visual inspection and the information available at the time of listing.

Do used items come with a warranty?

Archive Room does not offer an additional commercial warranty on used items unless explicitly stated on a specific listing.

This does not limit a consumer's statutory right to make a claim if an item does not conform to the contract.

Signs of wear, ageing, visual defects or shortcomings that were clearly stated in the item's description, visible in photographs, or otherwise disclosed to the buyer before purchase, are not considered non-conformity with the contract.

Can I return a used item?

Yes. If the buyer is a consumer and the item was purchased through the online store, the buyer has the right to withdraw from the distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason, except in cases provided for by law.

The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, taking into account the used condition stated in the item's description. The buyer may only examine the item to the extent that would be possible in a physical store.

Can I file a claim about a used item?

Yes, if the item does not conform to the contract — for example, it has a material defect that was not disclosed in the description or visible in the photographs.

However, the buyer cannot reasonably raise a claim about defects, wear or signs of use that were clearly disclosed before the purchase was made.

How do I place an order?

An order can be placed on archiveroom.online by selecting an item, adding it to the bag, entering contact and delivery details, choosing a delivery and payment method, and confirming the order.

Before confirming the order, the buyer has the opportunity to review the entered information and correct any errors.

When is an order considered accepted?

An order is considered accepted once the buyer receives an order confirmation at the email address provided. If an ordered item cannot be delivered, Archive Room will contact the buyer and refund the payment made.

What payment methods are available?

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment service providers. Archive Room does not store full payment card details.

Are prices shown with VAT?

Prices on the website are shown in euros. Information about VAT and other applicable charges is shown in accordance with SIA Archive Room's tax status and applicable law.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you would like to change or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible: info@archiveroom.online.

If the order has already been processed or shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible, but the buyer may still be entitled to exercise the right of withdrawal described under "Returns and Right of Withdrawal."

Do product photos accurately represent the actual item?

We aim to represent items as accurately as possible. However, colours, proportions or visual appearance may vary slightly depending on screen settings, lighting and photo quality. For used items, it is especially important to review both the photographs and the written description.
