Dior Long Wool Coat

Size M Cream wool coat from John Galliano's time at Christian Dior, made in France. A broad collar opens into an asymmetric double-breasted front, fastened with dark metal buttons engraved with the Dior name. Raised seams trace the shoulders and continue down the body, bringing the construction onto the surface. The back is gently shaped through the waist before opening towards the hem. It is a quieter piece from the Galliano era, with the interest in the cut: an off-centre fastening, exposed lines and the contrast of dark hardware against pale wool.
