Size 48 An off-white long sleeve from TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist's Autumn/Winter 2024 collaboration with Joseph Szabo. Small black-and-white photographs are placed at different heights across the front and back, with a chest pocket interrupting the arrangement. The space between the images gives each one room to register, like photographs laid out on a page. Szabo's Teenage work follows the lives of American adolescents, including students he photographed while teaching on Long Island. The images catch ordinary moments of closeness, awkwardness and self-expression. They make a natural companion to Miyashita's interest in youth and music, with the garment acting as a way to carry the photographs beyond the book.
