Size L A BACKLASH bomber by Isamu Katayama, combining a warm beige body with black leather raglan sleeves and a thick leopard-patterned collar. Leather-trimmed pockets, a two-way metal zip and striped ribbing at the cuffs and hem build on the shape of a varsity jacket. The materials make it feel quite different from a conventional varsity piece. The sleeves carry a pronounced grain and natural creasing, set against the softer body and shaggy collar. Black leather tabs beneath the collar and the heavy zip bring the different surfaces together without making the jacket feel overly polished.
