Walter Van Beirendonck x Eastpak Red Monster Backpack

Size One Size A red Eastpak backpack transformed into a sculptural monster, with raised ears, a face worked into the front and oversized limbs extending from the body. The monochrome finish carries the character through the pockets, straps and hardware. Walter Van Beirendonck’s Monster collaboration with Eastpak began in 2004 and has been revisited in later editions. The design turns a practical bag into a character, using the same humour and exaggerated forms that run through his wider work.
